In the middle of a splendid alpine environment in the Mercantour Massif 1,700 metres above sea level, Valberg has become equipped in recent years with many ski-lifts and artificial snow. As a result, it is now a sporty resort-village that can guarantee smooth operation of its equipment and abundant production of snow, while defending its mountaineering roots and their values. The only resort in the Alpes-Maritimes to have obtained the 'P'tits montagnards' label of quality, which guarantees the best possible care for children, a defender of Nordic skiing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, Valberg will always continue to amaze us.

Hidden at the doors of the Mercantour National Park, Valberg is a treasure to discover after a  breathtaking route in the red canyon of Cians. A large variety of activities in summer are available in Valberg for kids and families but also for hiking and mountain lovers. Hiking paths and itineraries, many mountain biking possibilities, canyoning, rafting but also golf course, summer sledge and a planetary trail to discover the reproduction of the solar system in  a natural setting.

The prize

The prize includes accommodation at the 4* Residence Val d’Azur in the Valberg ski resort for two people for 7 nights (Saturday to Saturday). The Residence includes; Indoor heated pool with magnificent views of the mountains, Wireless internet access in the lounge / bar (free), towels and linen, a dish washer, microwave oven and LCD TV in all apartments.

The prize is valid for one year from September 2012 (excluding school holidays), and you can take either a summer trip with free mountain pass to use the lift system, or a winter trip with full ski pass for 6-days for both people. Transfers to and from the resort will be provided by Minibus Service, a local Valberg based company.

The total value of the prize is approximately €1500

The winner must give Cote D'azur Tourism at least 3 weeks notice prior to booking the holiday.
There is no cash alternative available. The holiday must be claimed within 3 days (72 hours) of the notification e-mail being sent. If you do not claim your prize within this period, a new winner will be drawn. The publishers word on all matters relating to this prize. The prize is only available to UK residents and all details are non-negotiable.
