Mobile power packs allows you to keep your vital devices including phone, GPS, lights and anything else that takes a micro usb input charged on a ride.

The Topeak Mobile PowerPack has a 5200mAh battery which provides enough juice to charge the average smartphone up to 3 times but, being cycling specific it has a few tricks up its sleeve to help it work in harmony with the bike.

The contoured mount and Velcro fastening allow the pack to be attached securely to the stem, and being waterproof you shouldn't have to worry about packing it away as soon as it starts to rain.

The body of the PowerPack is made of tough engineering grade plastic with siliconised covers over the vulnerable parts. This construction feels pretty bombproof and the overall weight and dimensions are perfectly acceptable.

4 LED lights give you a clear indication of the level of charge within the pack, once it's drained you should be able to breathe life back into it in the space of around 8 hours.

Although the PowerPack is fairly expensive compared to some, its value is in the robustness and cycling specific features.
