The lining seems slightly unnecessary

As with many Craghoppers innovations, the Nosilife Forester jacket is aimed at adventurous travel in warmer climes, and has the features to back that up; AquaDry waterproof membrane, loads of pockets, Nosilife insect repelling impregnation, RFID Shield pocket to protect your credit cards and anti-bacterial properties.

Unlike many Craghoppers pieces, this jacket looks great! In our opinion this is the best looking jacket Craghoppers have ever made and it hits all the explorer heritage and adventure traveller buttons you can think of, with old-school rope drawcords and a very neat cut. In that regard it is a great travellers' jacket as you will look as intrepid in the beach bar/refuge/airport lounge as you do on the trail.

On the down side it's not the lightest jacket for travelling, and the addition of a fairly substantial liner adds to that - a strange choice for a jacket aimed at warm-weather activity. However the liner helps wick moisture and actually improves the versatility hugely - the Nosilife Forester will work perfectly as a spring/autumn jacket in the UK (and the Nosilife tech comes into it's own in midge season!)

Whether the Nosilife Forester works in a tropical downpour is almost irrelevant - who wants to wear a jacket in 100% humidity? What Craghoppers have produced is a highly versatile, and highly capable 3-season jacket that the most fashionable outdoor brands should be envious of. And that versatility makes it superb value.
