Hood fits poorly

The Keela Stashaway Pro is designed as a unisex jacket, utilising the company's own Rainlife 2000 fabric which in effect is a waterproof, breathable and windproof lightweight nylon material with hydrophilic coating, taped seams and waterproof zips, thus keeping rain and wind well at bay.

It also comes with a foldaway hood, contained within a Velcro fastening collar; we are not too keen on this as although it's adjustable it doesn't provide decent peripheral vision when fastened tight and flaps around in the wind if left loose.

Another minor inconvenience is that you have to take the jacket off to effectively 're-stash' the hood, plus when the zip is fully fastened with the hood stowed it is quite a tight fit round the neck if you're wearing thick layers underneath.

However, you need to bear in mind that you're not paying a great deal for the Stashaway Pro and you also get a good range of features which do work very well.

These include a scooped back, elasticated cuffs with Velcro adjustment, two map-sized chest pockets with stormflaps, a full-length zip with internal stormflap and a two-way drawcord adjustable hem.

Sure, you'd expect most of these as standard on a waterproof jacket, but the light weight, easy packability - the jacket also comes with its own pocket-sized stash bag - and great value of the Stashaway Pro make it well worth considering if you're on a budget.
