The Revert appealed to us as soon as we took one out of the box thanks to its Italian good looks and light weight. But it takes more than good looks for a boot to cut it.
Fortunately the Revert is more than just a pretty face. It provides a reassuring combination of support and protection to your feet, particularly around the heel and arch, and despite its Italian heritage it doesn't feel narrow in the forefoot and toes, as is often the case with Italian boots.
Build quality is excellent, from the rugged toe bumper to the sturdy mix of 1.6 - 1.8mm water resistant suede and nylon uppers and the grippy Vibram Radiant sole and anatomic footbed.
Your feet are kept dry and comfortable thanks to the Gore-Tex lining and Asolo's 'Extended Comfort Footwear' design - this effectively means the boots are non-insulated, making them ideal for warmer conditions such as the UK and Alps outside winter.
In use the light weight of the Revert (just under 1,200g/pair) means they feel very nimble, and the ankle in particular provides a confidence inspiring mix of flex and support; you feel like you can skip around on the trail while at the same time being sure your feet are safe from knocks.
We happily used the Reverts for everything from easy coastal path ambles to full days in the mountains, and as one pair of boots to suit all your warmer weather walking needs they're right up there.
