deloitte cycle ride across britainThere are still places to join the Deloitte Ride Across Britain cycle race this summer, a challenging cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats over nine days.

Each day you’ll cycle on average 106 miles, through some of the best British countryside, from barren moorlands and majestic highlands to pleasant valleys and quiet country lanes. It’s a gruelling challenge, with 20,000m of ascents over the 960 mile route.

There’s lots of support though. The price of taking part in the challenge includes all accommodation and food, as well as safety marshals, motorcycle outriders and paramedic bikes on hand all day. There’s also physio and mechanical support available for all those aches, pains and flat tires.

The challenge is taking place on 8 September to 16 September 2012. If that’s not enough time to get in shape for the challenge, you can sign up for the 2013 ride now.
