The Row2Rio team, which includes Johnny Keevill, Jake Heath, Susannah Cass and Mel Parker, will spend over four and half months travelling over both land and sea to their final destination of Rio, Brazil.  With full backing from the Ocean Rowing Society and support from experts of ocean rowing, the team have plotted a route which will allow them to complete the journey using only an ocean rowing boat, bicycles and the four team members’ determination.

The route itself has never been completed, making this expedition a real voyage of discovery.

The Scotland-based adventure brand, Vango will provide the Row2Rio team with a selection of tents, sleeping bags, sleeping mats, dry bags and camping accessories; all of which will help the team face their gruelling challenge.

Derek Scott, Vango’s Marketing Director at AMG Group, said: “It is a great honour to be associated with the ambitious Row2Rio challenge in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The spirit of adventure lies at the heart of everything we do and this marathon expedition fully embraces this philosophy.

“Given the challenging and exhausting conditions, it is vital for the team to have the best kit and be confident knowing that it has been purpose designed to protect them and keep them comfortable when camping en-route.”
