Climb Mount Elbrus with Action Challenge

July and August, 2016

This 12-day challenge will see you take on Europe’s highest mountain, the 5,643m high Mount Elbrus, in the Caucasus. Your trip will include three days of  acclimatisation treks, where you will climb higher each day, practising crampon, rope and ice axe techniques, ready for the tough final push up one of the world’s ‘seven summits’.

Hadrian’s Wall weekend trek with Action Medical Research

June and September, 2016

With two days of some of the UK’s finest walking, this long weekend trek will take you alongside the best 25 miles of these iconic Roman fortifications. The historic trail leads through the bleak, beautiful Northumberland National Park from Lanercost Priory to Brocalitia, visiting Roman forts, and passing lakes and crags along the way. This is a challenging walk with camping, along all kinds of surfaces from stony tracks to quiet lanes.

Climb Kilimanjaro with Marie Curie

September 15 - 24, 2016

This 10-day trip, with six days trekking, will take you – if you’re equal to it – to the top of the African continent’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. You’ll follow the Rongai route to the 5,895m Uhuru Peak summit – the wildest of the six most common routes. You’ll battle extremes of heat and altitude, but be rewarded with stunning views, an incredible experience and the knowlege that you’re raising money to care for terminally ill people.

Cycle Kilimajaro to Ngorongoro Crater

On this cycling challenge raising money for a charity of your choice, you will pedal 350km across the African Savannah with the stunning Mount Kilimajaro as your backdrop. You’ll pass through Maasai villages and stay in a mix of lodges, hotels and camps. On the final day you can reward yourself with an optional game drive where you’ll spot lions, rhino, and elephant in the famous Ngorongoro reserve.

September 30 - October 9, 2016

Tick off the one destination that must be on every Active Traveller’s bucket list while raising funds to combat heart disease on this trekking challenge in the Peruvian Andes. Following the ancient paths of the Incas, you’ll hike the less-walked Lares Trail, camp in unforgettable locations, and visit Machu Picchu. Help for Heroes Big Battlefield Bike Ride

June 5 - 11, 2016

Covering 350 miles over five days this ride will take you on a challenging and no doubt emotional journey between the historic battlefields of the Western Front from Belgium to northern France. Not only will proceeds from the ride and your fund-raising efforts go to support wounded British servicemen but you’ll be riding with Help4Heroes Band of Brothers members who are living – and riding – with injuries sustained in service.
