The roll along trolley bag from Antler is part of the new Tundra range aimed at active travellers. We very much liked the backpack reviewed previously for its quality and simplicity, does the trolley bag impress as much?

The 2.9kg weight of the Tundra trolley bag belies its capacity of 82 L. We managed to fit a family of threes ski gear into the Tundra, helmets and all so the size should suit most for a week or two of travelling.

The big chunky toggles pull the smooth running zips along with ease, usually without any signs of snagging.

The material of the Tundra is thick and hard-wearing without being overly bulky, one of the benefits of the duffel bag style is that the Tundra compresses right down for storing when you're not on the move.

In terms of compartments Antler have done well with the design of the Tundra. The top, or front compartment is a useful size unlike the usually slim pockets you often find on framed suitcases. The compartment runs the length of the case and has articulated and extendable sides allowing easy access and a good way of keeping items separated. The buckle-down backpack like flap has a handy zipped pocket in it which is great for storing smaller items.

The Tundra pulls along smoothly and can be propped up on its feet without any stability issues. The zip-away telescopic handle is nice and stable, if you don’t fancy pulling the Tundra along you can always use the duffel bag style carry-straps or the webbed straps on the top and side.

The bag comes with a sturdy combination lock which is a helpful inclusion and saves you buying one yourself.

Overall, The Tundra is a bag that’s really easy to live with which has accompanied me on many journeys already and will do for many more to come.
