Our reviewer finds the Anatom V1 Trail Tri.Aria trail shoes to be very reasonably priced and versatile.

Good value, comfortable and understated trail shoes
We like the grippy soles but will they last…?

The Anatom V1's are great value shoes for summer in the hills which in decent weather conditions will comfortably handle everything from easy strolls to full day walks and even scrambling.

The tri.aria waterproof and breathable membrane ensures your feet stay dry from both the outside and the inside, and the V1 is surprisingly light considering its rugged looks, which is also a useful feature in warmer conditions.

Durable high traction soles are sticky enough to work on steeper rock although how well they’ll wear remains to be seen as ‘sticky’ usually means the soles wear out more quickly.

There’s a rubber rand around the front to provide protection for your toes and the shoes, and the polyester mesh, suede and PU Nubuck uppers have an understated look.

Stability is provided by a wrap around, external heel cradle support system – I found it effective and indeed the shoes were really comfy straight from the box.  The V1 is also available in a non-membrane option for £60 which would work well in generally dry climates such as the Dolomites.
