You would be forgiven for writing the Fargo off as a bit of a mongrel with its fat tyres and drop bars making some wonder what it is really for.
Having ridden one extensively round the Highlands of Scotland we can testify it is a cracking piece of kit, opening up estate tracks, singletrack and much more with fast rolling but fat and forgiving 2.25 tyres. There are rack bosses aplenty on the frame, and while we have chosen the front suspension model here, there is a fully rigid model available that will take panniers and bottle cages on the forks too.
A steel frame is easy to repair when travelling, while the 1x11 SRAM GX gearing on our chosen model cuts out the need for a front mech and shifter for even greater simplicity. It really is an adventure bike for those who aren't keen to go the fat bike route.
