zip wire eden project cornwallThe longest zip wire in England has opened at the Eden Project in Cornwall.

The new attraction, named SkyWire, is 660m long and it takes a minute to whiz across the 35-acre site. From the ride, visitors will have an incredible view of the project’s iconic architecture and 1 million plants. The zip wire flies straight above the Rainforest and the Mediterranean Biomes.

‘The SkyWire has many meanings to us here at Eden,’ said Gaynor Coley, Eden’s Chief Executive, Enterprise. ‘Not only does it give an exhilarating ride to thrill seekers visiting the project but it also represents the risks people take to be successful in an ever-changing world.

‘The SkyWire is about reaching for the sky, taking opportunities and embracing challenges and we look forward to many people enjoying the ride.’

SkyWire costs £5 in addition to the entrance fee to the Eden Project. For more information, visit the website www.edenproject.com/skywire
