South west coast pathThe South West Coast Path national trail is one of the finest walks to be found anywhere in the world, not just the UK.

And now its newly-revamped website gives you the best information about this 630-mile stretch of the British coastline, with a great Walk Finder that lets you create your own customised walks from anywhere along the route. If you’re inspired by one of the stunning photographs on the site, you can find out exactly where it was taken and where the nearest walks are to get you there. As well as short walks or long-distance hikes, there’s a great choice of routes that incorporate a pub or tearoom along the way, or that cater specifically for families and dog owners.

Completing the entire 630 miles is the walk of a lifetime – well, 30 days at a reasonable pace. But to make life easy for the casual walker, the website splits the route into 52 sections, which can be tackled at any time. There are also accommodation links, details of baggage transfers, interactive maps, downloadable guides and its own Hall of Fame: the Completers page. See www.southwestcoastpath.com
