Scandinavian company Douchebags are a bit like the Apple of the travel luggage world. With an eye for distinctive design and real functionality, Douchebags are instantly recognizable and have become something of a cult piece for active travelers all over the world.

Driven by a desire to create smart travel luggage for adventurous folks, Douchebag co-creators Swedish freeskier Jon Olsson and Norwegian product designer Truls Brataas teamed up back in 2012 to create a revolutionary fully compressible, lightweight wheeled ski bag. The hype began, the story evolved and the collection expanded.

The Hugger 30L was added to the collection with the goal of offering a smart, durable duffle style backpack built to travel. IATA approved as a carry-on piece, all the stress of unnecessary baggage charges immediately go out the window when you've got the Hugger on board.

Straight out of the box, the overall impression is of a quality, stylish bag that's built to last. Lightweight yet robust, the integrated rib cage construction provides form and protection for your gear. Organisation of kit is also prioritized with 2 full length zipped pockets inside the main compartment enabling organization and easy access to key items.

The main body of the Hugger is spacious enough to carry all the kit you'll ever need for a long weekend away. We particularly liked the fact that it doubles up as a boot bag and recently used it to transport ski boots out to the Alps, safe in the knowledge that carrying our precious cargo as hand luggage meant we were in control of our powder destiny.

The Hugger 30L is all about making life easier and the decent-sized top pocket is indicative of its intent. Ideal for storing passports, wallets, smartphones, tickets etc, it allows easy access to all the essentials you repeatedly need when on the move. There's also a separate 15" laptop-specific padded pocket on the side of the bag and a clear, business-sized ID sleeve for easy identification purposes.

Whilst the Hugger 30L is built to travel and comfortable to wear as a backpack, it's not designed to be worn for sustained off-road adventures so it is likely to come unstuck if you take it out for a long hike. With no hip belt, chest strap or ventilated back system, its intended purpose is abundantly clear so be sure to read the signs.

Whether you choose to attach The Hugger to one of Douchebag's larger roller bags (we suggest either the Big or Little 'Bastards' for comedy value) using the patented Hook-Up system or simply use it as a stand-alone carry-on bag, you're set for an efficient, faff-free and stylish journey.
