The Alpine mountain bike glove is Madison's minimalist full-fingered mtb glove which opts to discard any features which might get in the way of maximum feel and rider feedback.
To this end you get a single-layer perforated and shaped suede palm that extends from the cuff to the tips of the third and fourth fingers and wraps around the tips of the first and second fingers for extra durability and protection.
Also at the ends of the first and second fingers is a silicon print which doubles as excellent brake lever grip, even in the wet, and touch screen functionality without having to take your gloves off.
The only nod to extra padding or protection is a reinforcing extra layer of suede on the inner thumb arch, which will also ensure a bit of extra durability.
At the wrist there is a broad Velcro flap for keeping the gloves snug, an once undone an elasticated gusset is exposed which makes the Madison Alpine glove a cinch to slip on and off - not something you can say about every cycling glove.
All said, the Madison Alpine full-fingered mountain bike glove is a great choice for riders looking for maximum feel and control, all-year riding comfort - all at an excellent price.
