The Vango Dry 20 is made for watersports, cycling, commuting, adventure sports and pretty much anything else you can think of where your belongings might be at risk of getting wet.
The Dry 20 is, as the name suggests a 20 litre backpack which puts it firmly in the daypack category.
The outer is 420D Ripstop nylon which is super strong, durable and coated with TPU, making it completely waterproof. To seal the top of the bag you simply roll it over three times and clip together with the Duraflex buckle. It's easy to trap air in the bag during this process so it's great that Vango have thought to add an air valve to expel the trapped air and compress the bag right back down.
The Dry 20 has one main compartment and a water resistant front zip pocket. The padded shoulder straps are comfortable and the AirForce back system - contoured air channels which create a chimney effect to enhance ventilation - works well to keep you cool while not adding too much weight. The waist and chest straps help to keep the pack secure and stable but the lack of padding makes them potentially uncomfortable when fully laden.
The ice axe/walking pole attachment is a handy addition and adds to the technical credentials of the pack.
The price is reasonable for this size of dry bag and the quality and versatility make the Dry 20 a viable purchase overall.
