Maximising on cooling and air flow, this long sleeve top from Madison is perfect for summertime enduro or trail riding. Thin and extremely air permeable fabrics are backed up by mesh ventilators around the neck and underarms and even some laser cut holes in the back to help with cooling. A small glasses wipe finishes off the detail list.
We liked the stretch of this thin mesh style fabric, which has allowed Madison to cut it reasonably close to prevent flapping without compromising on the ability to put armour underneath. It just stretches over where needed.
Airflow was nothing short of hurricane like, with all the mesh panels almost unnecessary as the body fabric was just so permeable. We were pretty cynical about the laser cut holes in the back, especially when covered with a hydration pack, but they didn't do any harm at least.
Ours came with a few pulled stitches and some minor snagging to a panel under the arms - as much as anything a result of the delicate fabrics used but still a little disappointing. This isn't like Madison however, so we assume it wouldn't normally happen and at least you could return with confidence.
If you are looking for a jersey to cope with warm weather racing or trail epics, the Flux should be right up there on your list as you will struggle to find a cooler jersey anywhere.
