The Travelite is an open-cell foam self-inflating sleeping mat from Snugpak designed for backpacking use.

The packed size is great for a foam mat at 26 x 15cm when packed into its stuff sack. The weight is also good at 660g making this a viable option for lightweight backpacking.

The mat inflates through a blow and lock valve system, it only takes a few breathes to top it up to your desired size after letting it inflate partially on its own.

The mat isn't very thick at only 2.5cm, so don't expect it to give you a great night's sleep on rough ground, but on a smooth surface the Travelite's soft flocked top is a comfortable place to be.

The Travelite gives you the full 51cm width right down to your feet and there are two lengths available, a 'full length at 183cm and a Midi which shaves a few hundred grams off the weight and about 60cm off the length, personally I prefer to take the weight penalty and have a mat that matches my height.

There are no quoted insulation values for the Travelite but we're guessing that with such a thin layer of foam r values aren't particularly high, it has kept us warm on summers nights but we wouldn't risk using it into the autumn and winter.

Overall the Travelite is a durable piece of outdoor gear with good weight and performance, if not great all-season or all-terrain versatility.
