The Reel Rock Film Tour was founded by Josh Lowell and Peter Mortimer in 2006 after they noticed a gap in the market for events dedicated to climbing and adventure films. Since then, the tour has grown into the definitive annual event for climbing communities all over the world.

When you think of climbing films, you might picture death-defying rescues or Sylvester Stallone running around the Rockies shooting bad guys, but the Reel Rock Film Tour presents films featuring real athletes on real climbs. Filmmakers capture the honest experiences of climbers as they embark on their adventures. These guys don’t need Hollywood special effects to create a great movie, just the natural drama and atmosphere of a climb. You can expect inspirational stories full of laughter, spectacular scenery and action that’ll have you on the edge of your seat.

The evenings will feature 4 short films, but they’re not all that’s on offer. The showings take on a festival feel with appearances from athletes and filmmakers, prize giveaways, non-profit fundraising and a high energy, party spirit.
