Yosemite Park USAVisitors to Yosemite national park in California, USA, have been told to seek medical advice if they experience flu-like symptoms.

Two people have died this summer after visiting the park from the rare hantavirus, which is carried by rodents. Symptoms include fever, aches, dizziness and chills and may develop up to five weeks after exposure to the urine, droppings or saliva of affected mice.

Officials from Yosemite said visitors who stayed in tent cabins between mid-June and the end of August should beware of these symptoms and inform their doctor that they had been camping in the park.

These are the first deaths from the virus to occur among park visitors.
