The Fjällräven Greenland Pro Trousers are a great option for summer as they're light and have a great cut - in fact with a good base layer underneath they'd be fine in the colder months too, the more so since their durable, wind and water resistant G-1000 fabric can be adapted to be more water resistant by treating it with Greenland wax (conversely you can wash the wax out to make them more breathable).

A technical cut featuring a waist that's higher in the back, lower in the front and pre-shaped cut at the rear and knees means they feel great in use, and the tough fabric and double reinforcements over the rear and knees should see them give many years of hard service.

Well thought out features include six pockets for gear such as multi-tools and large map pockets on the legs, one of which also has a secure inner mesh pocket for a mobile phone, plus fixed leg endings with adjustments so you can ensure the weather/snow/rain doesn't get inside via the ankles.

Add to that the fact that they have rugged, understated good looks and a reasonable price and it's hard not to like the Greenland Pro.
