Small, light and compact

The package is small and lightweight so potentially a good bed to take short distances on the road/trail with you.

The bed comes separated into the side poles, legs and fabric. Putting together and inserting the side poles is a similar process to threading poles for a tent so fairly straightforward. When it comes to inserting the steel legs things get a little tricky as they’re designed to work under compression so you have to fight against the metal to contort them into place, a job that took two of us.

Once up the bed doesn’t seem particularly sturdy with a bit of wobble evident when you move around, this does however settle once you’re in position.

The actual bed area is comfortable enough if a little narrow but probably fine for a few nights.

As a budget, occasional lightweight option the Vango 4 leg campbed serves its purpose but it’s worth spending more if you’re planning on a longer trip.
