The I-Stay Messenger Bag offers a unique non-slip shoulder strap; Alf Alderson review it here

Stay-put strap and good looks
The Velcro fastening main flap is not quite as secure as we’d like

A messenger bag is a really convenient way of carrying your gear around in town whether on foot or on a bike since you have the options of slinging it across your chest, over your shoulder or carrying it in your hand (perhaps not the latter if you’re on a bike…).

However, the first two options often result in the bag slipping and sliding, which is not only irritating but can also be uncomfortable and even dangerous if you’re on a bike, and this is where the I-stay Messenger Bag comes in.

It has a non-slip strap featuring a patented ‘webbed’ shoulder pad made from a mixed rubber compound which will not slip or slide off any fabric – even silk.

This also ensures that the weight of the load is distributed evenly across the shoulder, a feature which has recently received a commendation from The College of Chiropractors for its potential to help users avoid musculoskeletal discomfort.

The bag itself features a divided main compartment which will comfortably hold a laptop and documents plus a zipped organiser pocket, all protected by a large, Velcro-fastening flap, along with two additional large zipped outer pockets, so there’s plenty of room for all your urban necessities.

The overall look and feel of the I-stay Messenger Bag is smart and understated, and the price is reasonable – especially if it ensures your bag stays on your shoulder instead of around your ankles.
