Its versatility and functionality.
Honestly? Nothing.

This 22L hiking backpack ticks all of the boxes for an effective day pack. Osprey’s Airscape back system is ridiculously comfortable without being overly complicated. It’s adjustable for different torso lengths and combines wavy foam channels with a mesh overlay. This offers a combination of excellent venting and comfort. The perforated shoulder straps are well cushioned with a mesh overlay front and back. They feature load lifters, length adjustment, and a sternum strap with a handy whistle. There's even a stretch mesh pocket secured with a popper perfect for keeping gels in, and Ospreys excellent Stow on the Go trekking pole attachment which allows you to very quickly and easily store your trekking poles without taking the Talon 22 off your back.

The hip belt is wide and anatomically shaped as well as being well cushioned and perforated for ventilation. The buckle and webbing strap adjusters are easy to use, giving a very secure feeling. Unusually for a 22L daypack, the hip belt has a large zipped pocket on both sides giving you storage for snacks phones and other essentials.

Compression straps allow you to secure everything within the backpack, these straps run over the top of the stretch side pockets on both sides securing water bottles. The front kangaroo pocket is made of a stretch mesh material which is perfect for stashing waterproof jackets, as it allows them to vent and dry out. This process is assisted by drainage cut-outs at the bottom of the pocket. The top of the pocket is secured by an adjustable buckle and webbing strap.

Just above the kangaroo pocket is Osprey's patented Lid Lock system. Essentially a piece of plastic on the end of a bungee cord, but it ingeniously allows you to quickly attach a helmet to the bag.

The Talon 22 backpack features a spacious top pocket that is securely zipped for safe storage. The large toggles are conveniently designed for easy access and closure of the pocket. Your hydration bladder can be stored separately from the main compartment, nestled between the bag and the back panel. This not only conserves space in the main compartment but also helps prevent any possible leakage. The hydration bladder is held securely in place with a tiny buckle and webbing strap.

The Talon 22 has a wide opening that extends down to the base of the side pockets, making it convenient to reach the gear stored inside. Additionally, it features an adjuster for the external lid lock system and a secure mesh pocket with a carabiner clip to hold your keys.

With its 22-liter capacity, you can easily store all of your essentials, including maps, insulated jackets, and your lunch in the Talon 22. The interior of the back panel is kept relatively flat, so it won't take up valuable storage space and compromise the bag's capacity.

The Talon 22 is constructed with the finest quality materials, and its craftsmanship is evident in its attention to detail. It's designed to be a long-lasting backpack, capable of withstanding heavy use without showing signs of wear and tear. In fact, it's unlikely that you'll ever need to replace this backpack, as it will likely last you for years, if not decades. The Talon 22 is a versatile backpack and is ideal for a variety of activities, including hiking, cycling, climbing, gym sessions, and travel.
