We review the Jack Wolfskin Charged Atmosphere lightweight waterproof jacket

Overall Score
Excellent comfort
Minimal features and no armpit zips

This three-layer Texapore softshell feels lovely and soft against the skin and is very stretchy, which adds to the comfort factor.

Note that sizing is generous though, so you may be able to drop a size given the jacket’s stretchiness.

It works well in warmer weather – in fact there’s an attachment on the front zip that allows you to wear the jacket unzipped without it flying open in wind or at high speeds.

Being designed for warmer conditions means features are minimal, with just one zipped chest pocket, a large adjustable hood and adjustable hem.

So, if you want to move fast and light with minimal baggage the Charged Atmosphere makes a good option.
