Worn by mountain rescue teams, tactical forces and expedition teams worldwide, Keela's reputation for great value, performance mountain gear precedes it. The Youth Belay Expedition doesn't disappoint, packing in all the warmth, comfort and performance of its grown up version.

Eschewing flashy graphics and colours the Belay Expedition is essentially a downsized version of the adult Belay Advance. On the outside is a ripstop fabric that also does a pretty good job of keeping water out protecting the synthetic fill of 100 gsm PrimaLoft Gold insulation.

Features are basic but adequate for use, with two unzippered hip pockets, reflective piping and logos for extra visibility, a hem drawcord with toggle adjustment, and lycra cuffs. Size options cater for 7-16 year olds.

Excellent value warmth that our tester took to Swedish Lapland over Christmas where, worn over a baselayer and fleece, found it was all that was needed for sledging in temperatures as cold as -5 C.
