The Quest 4D GTX represents the next generation of mountain footwear, with Salomon applying their acclaimed trail running footwear technologies to the rigorous demands of trekking. The uppers are waterproof split suede and textile with a GORE-TEX lining, but the real difference lies beneath with the 4D Chassis. This is evolved from the famous XA Series of running shoes to provide dynamic cushioning. The moulded EVA midsole adds stability and a Contagrip outsole gives traction on unstable surfaces.
