Rugged Vibram sole, great looks
One of the more expensive boots we tested

The Vioz Plus are really lovely boots – being Italian they naturally look stylish too, but unlike many Italian boots they didn’t feel excessively narrow.

Made from Hydrobloc full grain leather the uppers are plain and simple in design, and feature a tough rubber rand around the entire lower part of the boot apart from the heel. They have some initial stiffness but this soon translates into excellent and confidence building support for your foot, all the way through from forefoot to heel and ankles, along with a great blend of stiffness and flex.

The Vioz Plus features a combination of Gore-Tex and a Microtex wicking nylon collar to keep your feet warm and dry, but the feature we liked most was the rugged Vibram Darwin sole (which is C1 crampon-compatible), the lugs of which give excellent grip and traction. You can also feel the excellent cushioning they provide as you walk.
