Explore South Tyrol and hike, bike and eat your way across the beautiful Dolomite Mountains.

the dramatic sella massif in the heart of the dolomites markjameschase

Soaring up to 3,181 metres in the sky between the Fassa and Val Gardena/Gröden valleys, the Langkofel massif is a stunning sight to behold. Part of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and paradise for outdoor lovers, the area around the Langkofel Group offers world-class hiking and biking routes, as well as more daring outdoor activities like climbing, paragliding and canyoning.

Take to the twisty alpine trails and hike to your heart’s content amongst the beautiful flora and fauna, breathing in the clear mountain air. Two wheels more your thing? Race road bikes in the foothills, ride a mountain bike into the wild or take an E-bike out for a spin.

This brilliant shot was captured by photographer Mark Chase on a recent trip to South Tyrol with model and lifestyle blogger Gwilym Pugh. Read all about their adventure in this year's Active Traveller Magazine.
