A well-made, great value long sleeve jersey
Not as warm and wind resistant as the advertising suggests
alpkit.com

Although Alpkit describe the Rhythm Thicky as being highly wind resistant, we felt that was being a little ambitious for the properties of the knitted fabric. In our experience it passed air through pretty steadily so, while that doesn't make it a bad jersey, we wouldn't recommend buying one on that strength alone.

That detail aside we did like the Thicky very much, being exceptionally comfortable to wear, with a soft brushed fleece inner sitting very well over bare skin. The fit is excellent, with the stretch fabric pulling in for a good close fit with very little left over. The full-length zip allows plenty of ventilation options if the ride warms up, and the three traditional pockets on the rear (plus a small zipped one for keys etc) holds a fair cargo, although the stretchy properties of the jersey meant we didn't want to overload them too much. A few testers came back saying they would like a higher neck for more coverage in the cold, but other than that it was all positive reports.

Dark reflectives on the back pockets maintain the sleek and understated look of our black sample, while providing at least a little in the way of visibility, which we liked.

So, while we would debate the 'highly wind resistant' claims, the Thicky is still an excellent quality cool spring or autumn riding jersey at a keen price.
