The Prana Halle Pants may well be the ultimate cross-activity pant for climbers, hikers, backpackers and post-activity craft beer sippers.

Soft, extremely comfortable and stretchy, the relaxed style of the Halle Pants will appeal to those who like functional, stylish activewear that looks good both on and off the trail. Whilst they're obviously built to perform, the mid-rise trouser style fit of the Halles makes them equally valid for everyday use, strolling around the town and sightseeing etc.

The key to their hybrid casual-slash-performance DNA is the lightweight, wrinkle-resistant Stretch Zion fabric. Stretchy, soft, durable and breathable, the DWR coated Stretch Zion fabric does a great job of moving with you on the trail, wicking moisture away from the skin, and keeping you dry in light showers. If you're anticipating heavy downpours or consistent rain then simply pair the Halle Pants with a pair of waterproof trousers and you'll be good to go.

Whilst the Stretch Zion fabric is the main story here, the Halle Pants come with a number of other well thought out performance-related features also worthy of note. If things get warm out on the crag or trail and you're looking for additional ventilation, then the roll-up leg feature will definitely be appreciated. Articulated knees and a hidden zip thigh stash pocket are two more examples of technical features that have been subtly integrated into the Halle Pants without taking away from the overall casual, everyday design and style.

In terms of fit, the Halle Pants claim to be 'mid-rise' but our US 6/UK 10 test pants sat right on our hips and felt more like a low-rise pant. They do feel like they might get a tad baggy with more use so we were pleased to see they came with a drawstring at the waist to back up the button fly. Length-wise, you have a choice of 3 options - Short (30"), Regular (32") and Long (36") - and the regular 32 inch inseam of the test pair was perfect for our 5'6" frame.

At £76, the Halle Pants offer excellent value due to their versatility. A real quiver of one pant for active folks who are constantly packing and unpacking for a variety of different adventures.
