The Blue Mountain LED lantern lasts up to 35 hours from 3 ‘D’ size batteries, this should be enough to take you through a week’s camping in the summer with plenty of juice to spare for your next trip.
The remote is a handy addition when you’re in a larger tent allowing you to hop into bed with the light on and switch off from the warmth of your sleeping bag.
The light modes are limited to ‘on’ and ‘off’ with no brightness settings. It would have been good to have a dimmed setting to use as a night light for a toddler but not vital at this price point. The 120 lumen output is enough to light up the tent at night to a degree but if you’re hunting through your backpack for something small you might want to use a torch.
Overall, the Blue Mountain 24 LED lantern provides a good compromise between burn time, price and functionality.
